Anthony P. DeMaria, Ph.D. is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. He is currently a supervising psychologist at Mt. Sinai-West Hospital's Center for Intensive Treatment for Personality Disorders, a clinical professor of psychiatry at Mt. Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine, and sees patients through Mt. Sinai Health System's faculty private practice.
Dr. DeMaria holds his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The New School. He has also completed specialized training in the treatment of adults with personality disorders at Mt. Sinai-Roosevelt Hospital's post-doctoral psychology fellowship program at the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders. Further, he has also trained at NYU-Bellevue Hospital Center, Beth Israel Medical Center, and various other NYC based hospitals.
Dr. DeMaria has authored several published peer-reviewed manuscripts on the topics of evidence based therapy practices, psychotherapy training, and ways to improve doctor/patient relationships. He also has presented at both conferences and hospital-based grand rounds presentations on the treatment of personality disorders.
