Anthony P. DeMaria, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who holds licenses in NY, NJ, Florida telehealth permit, and PSYPACT authority to practice interjurisdictional telehealth in participating states. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from The New School, and has completed specialized training in the treatment of adults with personality disorders at Mt. Sinai-Roosevelt Hospital's post-doctoral psychology fellowship program at the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders. Further, he has also trained at NYU-Bellevue Hospital Center, Beth Israel Medical Center, and various other NYC based hospitals.

 

Dr. DeMaria has worked as a supervising psychologist and clinical professor of psychiatry at Mt. Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine, as the associate director of psychology training and education and Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, and served as director of adult ambulatory psychiatry at Mount Sinai Morningside and West Hospitals for many years. While he now sees patients in his private practice, he continues to be affiliated with the Mount Sinai Health System.
 

Throughout his career, Dr. DeMaria has authored several published peer-reviewed manuscripts on the topics of evidence based therapy practices, psychotherapy training, and ways to improve doctor/patient relationships. He also has presented at both conferences and hospital-based grand rounds presentations on the treatment of personality disorders. In addition to scholarly works, he has been quoted in a number of media publications to share his insights.
